i am definitely am filing this away for future days - this revamp is absolutely fabulous & seems fairly do-able. so if i ever have a home with a chandelier [yes, please], i'll have to paint it to match!
note: this is not a collection of best/worst dressed at the emmys. although i do love those articles [and have attached links to many of them at the end of this post], i would rather use this opportunity to just highlight the dresses worn which i personally find the most beautiful, interesting, & all-in-all pretty. i am also withholding judgement in regards to hair/makeup choices, as well as the so-called appropriateness of the dress for this occasion. instead, i invite you to just revel in the beauty that is formalwear fashion. let's begin! :
so many of my fave TV actresses really rocked the red carpet!
her navy blue burberry prorsum dress not only hugs her body perfectly, but also compliments her gorgeous red hair -- it's also great to see her hair down & with body, considering her TV alter-ego always has it pinned back or stick-straight with just a flip on the end! aside from the color, the dress is honestly just stunning.
zac posen lovelies:
cheryl hines & olivia munn
kelly osbourne [tony ward], angela kinsey [romona keveza],
eva longoria parker [robert rodriguez], heidi klum [marchesa]
sexy & sparkly:
claire danes [armani prive], heather morris [ina soltani]
maria menounos [ralph & russo custom couture]
amber riley [melissa masse], sarah hyland [pamella roland]
rose byrne [gucci], kim kardashian [marchesa resort 2011]
it was also great to see dianna aragon rocking the carolina herrara resort 2011 again :
when i was younger i collected postcards: from places i've been, places my friends/family had been, & places that looked cool, found mostly in antique stores. now i have boxes of pretty postcards that are just collecting dust & i've been considering trying to incorporate some of them into my room decor. here are a few ideas i have come across
i'm slightly in love with artist mae chevrette's inspiring & lovely paintings. i love her use of color, the mixed fonts, & especially the messages. i'm not sure which is my favorite, but i'm pretty sure it's the first one, "to be brave."
although i can't afford the actual painting, maybe i could spring for the print. or maybe just get the smaller print.
